FAQs
When you arrive at Ideal Chiropractic, you will enter a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. You will be addressed by name and greeted with a smile from our doctors and staff. Our staff will make you feel right at home and will help you navigate through the paperwork quickly and easily. After your paperwork is complete, you won’t have to wait long to see your doctor.
The doctor’s consultation begins with a detailed review of your health history and current complaint. Following the history, the doctor will perform an orthopedic evaluation focused on your areas of complaint.
Following the evaluation the doctor will spend the time to make sure you understand:
- What’s Causing Your Problem
- Can We Help
- How Long Will It Take
At that point, the doctor is more than happy to address any other questions or concerns you may have. If you are a candidate for chiropractic care, then you will be treated on that first day and given home-care instructions to help speed the healing process.
We strive to make sure the care and the experience you receive in our office meets and exceeds your expectations. If you have any questions or concerns or any feedback on how we can improve your experience, please let us know!
The cost of chiropractic treatment depends on the personalized care plan recommended by your doctor and any applicable insurance coverage. Regardless of your financial situation, we are committed to help you access the care you need.
Our office accepts most insurance plans including Medicare. Coverage varies by provider, and we will verify your benefits during your first visit. We also offer cash plans for those without insurance.

The number and frequency of adjustments vary for each individual. As your muscles and ligaments heal and regain strength, visits typically become less frequent. The healing process depends on how long the issue has been developing in your body.
A subluxation is a misalignment of one or more spinal vertebrae, which disrupts the nervous system. When nerve function is compromised, you body’s natural ability to heal and perform at its best is impaired. This is a clear example of how spinal structure directly impacts overall function.
No, chiropractic adjustments are generally a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Many patients find them relieving and even look forward to their visits. As your spine realigns, you’ll likely notice a significant reduction in stress and tension.
Yes! Chiropractic care is wide recognized as one of the safest forms of healthcare. In fact, malpractice insurance rates for chiropractors are only a fraction of those for medical doctors, reflecting the low risk associated with treatment.
The birth process can be the first cause of spinal misalignment in infants, as significant pressure is often exerted during delivery. As children grow, everyday activities like learning to walk, running, jumping, and minor falls can also lead to spinal misalignments. Additionally, early participation in sports increases the risk of injuries that may impact their development. Chiropractic care helps ensure proper signal alignment, supporting overall health and well-being from an early age.
The sound you hear during an adjustment isn’t your spine “cracking” or “popping.” It’s simply goas, primarily nitrogen, rushing in to feel the small vacuum created when joints are gently separated. Not all chiropractic techniques produce this sound – some involve minimal force and make no noise at all.
Yes! The absence of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean your spinal misalignments are fully corrected. Many people have spinal degeneration that has developed over years to birth trauma, falls, accidents, and everyday stresses. Regular chiropractic check-ups help maintain spinal health and prevent future issues. However, the decision to continue care is always up to you.
Most insurance plans include chiropractic coverage. After your first visit, we will verify your benefits with your provider. If your policy doesn’t cover chiropractic care, we offer affordable options to ensure you can still receive the treatment you need.
Chiropractors are trained to assess and adjust specific areas of the spine with precision. Self-manipulation – such as twisting, turning, or having someone apply pressure – does not properly realign the spine and can sometimes do more harm than good. Many chiropractors treat patients who have injured themselves attempting to “crack” their own backs. With years of specialized training, chiropractors use safe and effective techniques to ensure proper spinal alignment and overall health.
In Wisconsin, becoming a licensed chiropractor requires completing a four-year undergraduate degree, followed by chiropractor school, similar to medical school. Earning a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree involves over 4,200 credit hours of specialized education and training.
